FallWinter 2015

Moving on UP!It’s been a long time

coming. For over 20 years

Robért Refrigeration had

our office right outside of

the French Quarter.

But as time past, our

business grew. More

people, more trucks and

more equipment. But our

location stayed the same,

so we finally had to find a

larger space. We made a

significant investment in a new

location on W. Harimaw Court in

Metairie.

The warehouse space at our

new location is much larger! This

will allow us to keep more parts

and equipment on hand to

more quickly and efficiently

handle all your repair and

replacement needs.

The new location is also more

centrally located, so we’ll be

able to offer even quicker

service.

The Robért team wants to take

this opportunity to thank you for

contributing to our success,

and we’ll continue to work

hard to keep you and your

family comfortable.

Oil changes, tune-ups and othermaintenance are a normal part ofowning a car. Regular serviceshould also apply to centralheating and air systems, but toooften we don’t think about themuntil something breaks.

But it’s a fact that you could saveas much as $40 a month onenergy costs by making sure yourheating and air conditioningsystem is cleaned and servicedregularly. And in the winter, safety is also a key concern.

Each year approximately 20,000people go to the hospital forcarbon monoxide poisoning.Nearly 500 people die. Most casesof carbon monoxide poisoning are

Tune Ups Aren’t Just For Carsfrom poorly maintained heatingsystems. But it is completelypreventable.

A tune up of your heating systemthis winter will accomplish manythings, including:

❖ Checking for any cracks inthe heat exchanger or otherareas with potential forcarbon monoxide leaks.

❖ Restore capacity by one-halfto three-fourths of a ton.

❖ Helps prevent untimely break-downs.

❖ Reduces running time, andtherefore, it reduces energybills.

So–now you can see that regulartune-ups aren’t just for cars. Whenit comes to your comfort you cantune up or pay up.

Thisodorless, tasteless, and colorless gas is known asthe “Silent Killer.” The Centers for Disease Controlestimates that carbon monoxide poisoningclaims nearly 500 lives, and causes more than15,000 visits to hospital emergency departmentsannually.

It is estimated 94 percent of homes have firealarms, but only 13 percent have carbonmonoxide detectors. In most cases, CO build upis caused from household appliances that arenot properly ventilated.

Carbon monoxide is a natural by-product ofappliances and tools that burn fuels. Wheninhaled, the effects can be lethal. Some of themost common symptoms are:

UV Lights for Your Air Conditioner

Will It Really Work?

In 1903, theNobel Prizewas awardedfor the use of ultravioletlight in thetreatment oftuberculosis. Since then, ultravioletlights have been widely adaptedfor all kinds of uses: sterilizinghospitals, sterilizing water andgermicidal lamps in foodestablishments. If UV light is soeffective, can it be applied toimproving indoor air quality forresidential central air systems?

UV lights are very effective atcontrolling mold inside an airhandler. All mold in line-of-sight ofthe UV bulb will be killed, keepingthe coil mold-free.

BENEFITS• Control mold and bacteria

• Reduce colds and flush – germs are notre-circulated by HVACsystem

• Reduce smells / odors

• Remove VOCs

• Are more effective inhumid climates than dryclimates

• Reduces clogging incondensate drain lines bypreventing algae growth.

• Maintains a cleaner coil, improving coolingefficiency and reducingutility costs.
