Mission

The Directors Development Program (DDP) will provide a player-centered developmental program that focuses on creating a nurturing, educational soccer environment.

The ‘win at all costs” mentality

• There is too much pressure placed on young players today, the pressure comes from the coaches, parents, club directors, and the local soccer environment.

• Coaches at the younger age groups should not worry about wins and losses but the following: a teams’ style of play, individual player development, individual personality development and playing the game the correct way (possession based game, with creative flowing play), enjoyment and passion for the game.

• Professional youth academies throughout Europe do not play in leagues, and do not keep scores at the youngest age levels. They simply develop players. World famous academies operate this way: Ajax, Liverpool, Man Utd, Barcelona, Auxerre
