DESCRIPTION

This is a presentation about the ill-effects of unbalanced eco-system, their causes and possible remedies to make it a balanced Eco-System.

TRANSCRIPT

Eco System is a community of living and non-living components of environment where they interact to sustain the requirements of life.

The Eco System is unbalanced due to human activities like increasing population, industrilization, deforestation, global warming, etc

Day by day as the population is increasing so the needs of the people are also increasing.

In order to satisfy the needs of increasing population, deforestation is being done on a large scale by cutting trees and clearing forests .

More and more industries, factories are coming to fulfill needs and demands of Increased population. Deforestation is done to set up industries in the place of forests.

Illegal Hunting and Poaching is being done on large scale by killing and capturing wild animals for trading , land using and for the manufacturing of products from animals.

In order to provide houses for the increased population Urbanization is done on a large scale by converting free space of villages into urban cities

Due to industrialization and urbanization chimneys of factories and engines of vehicles produces smog containing harmful gases like carbon dioxide and unwanted dust particles which results to air, water and land pollution. .

The chemicals produced from the factories when get mixed into water make the water very harmful which cause water pollution and destroy aquatic life.

As population is increasing excess quantity of petrol, diesel is being used on daily basis for vehicles and machines.

Use of non-biodegradable materials like plastic, metal should be discouraged as these materials can’t be decomposed and they are a major threat to the environment.

Due to industrialization a large quantity of harmful gases and poisonous chemical are being mixed into the air and water which results air . Water and land pollution

Global Warming is the rise in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans due to deforestation, pollution, land degradation, etc.

Due to deforestation animals are losing their habitats because of which their living conditions are not satisfied because of this wildlife is being extinct.

The another effect is the soil erosion caused due to deforestation in which roots that trees are not able to hold soil So soil gets flowed by the running water and causes of land slides.

Due to deforestation lands are cleared causing loss of water bodies, loss of vegetation and wildlife. It results to desertification and droughts in the effected areas.

Ozone layer is the weakness of the ozone layer of the Earth’s surface due to which harmful ultraviolet sun rays can directly reach the sun and many harmful diseases can be spread like skin cancer, skin problems, etc.

Due to increased population, pollution, global warming , depletion of ozone layer the earth surface has becoming hotter day by day causing melting of glaciers and making ecosystem unbalanced.

Don’t cut trees Plant more treesIn order to conserver nature we should encourage reforestation in which same number of trees should be planted which have been cut earlier

Don’t use Bulbs Use CFL’ S

Don’t use plastic bags

Use Paper Bags

Don’t use Petrol Use CNG

There are level marks or level sensors in the riverWhich test the level of river water if the level wasIncreasing/decreasing the sensor will alert the area and if a flood has to occur it announced to clear the land.

There are probes deep inside the earth which senses all the activity underground the earth whenever an earthquake come the probes sense any activity they sends urgent information to earthquake management centre.

There are tsunami detector on the sea bed of the ocean which senses all the activity under water if the sensor sense any activity under water or an earthquake has to occur under water (it led to tsunami) the sensors send report to management through satellite.

The landslide occurs on the mountains due to cutting of trees and resulting soil erosion. The roots of the trees hold soil and prevent soil erosion. But when trees are being cut then the rocks become soft and during rainy days they are easily carried away by the running water and cause flood when fall in the rivers. So we should stop deforestation to prevent soil erosion and landslides.
