The challenges faced to date:

• Converting Primary Schools to School Direct – the expectation of employment

However– cluster model is growing

– most Primary Clusters are applying for School

Direct 2014-15

The challenges faced to date:

• The free market – the money issue

However - Growing emphasis on ‘the moral imperative’- Developing relationships with Teaching Schools

The challenges faced to date:• Breakdown of

– Sense of collaborative work with other HEIsHowever – good work with APTE continues

– Sense of collaborative work with the TA (as was)

The challenges faced to date:

• Sense that NCTL is working against HEIs

• Possible loss of schools long established in the Partnership

However – attempts to minimise this with strategic use of core numbers

• Embedding agreed systems re: recruitment However - success of review meetings

• Running two different models in parallel
