Design activity often starts with a creative idea, an inspired instinct, sometimes a stray impulse that sparks, teases and provokes; turning stray opportunity into a good design - a great experience.
We have the ability to forecast and interpret the ever changing consumer demands to help our clients arrive at the best possible product or service solution.
DesignBait uses business as a platform to actively engage all the stakeholders - to participate, contribute and create. Propagating a culture of collaboration, sharing knowledge and co-creation.
Each of us is a part of a microcosm that reflects our own personal experiences, cultural environment, abilities and flaws.
At DesignBait we study these patterns when trying to create solutions that can best benefit the personal experience of the people for whom they are being designed

collectionThe series embodies the street vernacular, culture and mobility
in delhi while redefining its function, craft and aesthetic.
A widely acclaimed series, has graced various design
publications like - Elle, India Today Homes, Livingetc,
HomeReview, LiveMint to name a few.
Envisioned as a response to the possible ban on street
hawkers in delhi during the 2010 Common Wealth Games,
resurrected with a radiant, zany and provocative spirit...
Appropriate it as a mobile work station, a dinning table or just
a fun addition to your welcome lounge and watch everyone’s
eyes widen in nostalgic wonderment.
handwoven on the furniture, the weave is avalible in natural coir & silk cord and can be dyed in an array of spectacular colours.
handcrafted
Inspired by the vernacular of the cart; ‘chalta’ is one part of a colloquial Hindi slang meaning
ever moving, so ‘the chalta racket’ is a unique rack on
wheels.
The mobile shelving system can swivel 360˚, offers superb
portability, functionality and mischief.
Use it as a tea trolley, a mini bar or bed side table.
multi-directional mobility
These flirtatious chairs are tied and bound in intricately
woven coir. A nostalgic creation reminiscent of life lived in
the notorious, mercurial and exuberant street and style of
Delhi.
Produced by employing local weavers and welders of Delhi.
Exploring authentic techniques, for e.g. Twisting metal between alternate planes. The ‘Kursi’ is/
are designed to work with the Tart Cart as a Dining Table + 6
Chair combination.
Translated, the ‘thaath khaatt’ means a splendid cot; evocative of the royal ride and procession
of a monarch though the bustling towns. The recline is
also seen in the portraiture of lord Vishnu as he lies back
and watches over his dominion signaling everything is as it
should be - so just lie back and your world is apropos.
