• Culture “includes knowledge, belief, art, morals, law, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society” (Tylor 1870, p.1).

• William Morris and Alfred Hitchcock gave me a life long passion for Pre-Raphaelite art

and film that pushes the boundaries of storytelling. This is my “autobiographical narrative” (Bruner 1990 cited MacDonald et al 2002, p.10).

• I remember this advert because the jingle parodies the song Low Rider, which used to be the opener to a kids’ afternoon radio show that my mum would tape and let me listen to as I fell asleep.

• It also links nicely to the next advert which is honestly the greatest advert ever created, but mostly sticks in my head because it manages to combine music that my parents love, Reggae and music that my parents hate, Bob Dylan.

• “one of the main reasons young people consider a piece of music meaningful is when it is associated with positive memories” (Lippman and Greenwood 2012 cited Blais-Rochette and Miranda 2016, p.27) .

• People often seek a meaning to their illness through their narrative (Gwyn 2001, p.142).

• “A necessary component of the sick role is to not allow oneself to succumb to illness if at all possible” (Gwyn 2001, p.148).
