• This guy talked to vendors that were showcasing some of their newest works at MAX

• I stood by him so I didn’t have to ask a ton of questions

• Met that one guy• Enjoyed the welcome reception (open bar and access to developers and

books and computers and business owners)

• Go to the hotel and sleep.

• Breakfast Continental Style… Very nice spread though

This guy is Stephen Elop, CEO of Macromedia.

I didn’t recall him saying anything about it at the Meet at Greet the night before.

He led the general session and introduced many of the Macromedia team.

MAX: Day 1

“Geek Rock Stars” were called out on to stage to introduce new products.

“Great Mind Colaborate”

“User Experience is job #1”

Breeze Team/Flash Team/Fireworks Team/Flex 2 Team/Dreamweaver Team…

• After running out of teams… Stephen introduced the croud to someone new.

MAX: Day 1This guy will be the CEO of Macromedia.

He is the CEO of Adobe, Bruce Chizen.

MAX: Day 1Bruce told us that he would like to have

been CEO of Macromedia already and would like to tell us more about his plans for Macromedia… But he can’t… Atleast not yet. He will let us know as soon as possible.

Speed Demo of AS3 vs AS2 (AS3 was 4 times faster on Render)

ESRI introduces a Vector Map. As you zoom in it doesn’t get a “new” map. It get a refinement of the Vector that you are zoomed into. Demo went very smooth
