50 - 011The First Microporous Framework Cerium Silicate. — A microp-orous sodium cerium silicate, denoted AV-5, is prepared under hydrothermalconditions by mixing an alkaline solution of SiO2 and Na2O and a solution ofCe2(SO4)3·8H2O in aqueous HCl (autoclave, 230 ◦C, 8 d). The compound ischaracterized by powder XRD, 29Si, and 23Na MAS NMR spectroscopy. Itshows the same structure as montregianite (Na4K2Si16O38·10H2O; monoclinic,space group P21/n).
