MISSION ~ We are a welcoming Catholic community, making God visible through the sacraments, faith formation and service.
MEMORIES AND DREAMS. Throughout our lives, we retain the language and habits of our native region and family of origin. Should we return to our home after a long absence, we quickly revert to its familiar speech and practices. Our deep memory is reflected in old stories and words and speech patterns. This familiarity runs like an
underground river and accompanies us wherever we go. Not only do we remember, we are incorporated into and made part of a greater memory. In remembering and recollecting, we are in turn gathered up and re-collected. Today we remember Mary, a small figure travelling the country roads to visit Elizabeth. All the great pronouncements and dreams of the prophets point to this time when the Lord’s words to Mary would be gathered and fulfilled. The memories of her people are alive in her, and memories of her nourish our own living faith.

Christmas Carols Lindsey Todd debuted her singing skills at the age of three when she sang "Hark the Herald", over the phone to her grandparents. She has been singing ever since. Lindsey has one of those special voices that combine a beautiful timbre, a natural vibrato, and a
radiant purity. Her first album of Christmas music, "Glory to the New Born King" contains a collection of traditional Christmas carols, performed the way they were meant to be, with beauty and reverence.

Our sincerest thanks to all the members of The Men’s Club, and members of the Women’s Club who helped with the
logistics needed to serve up the delicious Prime Rib Dinner last Friday. And of course to the Parishioners who brought their holiday desser ts and were part of the fun and fellowship. A Special Thanks to St. Nicholas (Santa Claus) for coming to visit. The Jolly Ole Elf added much to the festivities!
The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give the perfect gift this holiday season - a lifesaving blood donation. By rolling up a sleeve, donors can help ensure patients continue to receive treatment throughout the holiday season.
Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery Update The Expansion of the Cemetery is now complete and approximately 150 new
markers (graves) are available to parishioners and non-parishioners. The cost is the same for members and non-members: $1,500 for a single marker which can have a casket and an urn with cremains or two cremains interred therein. Please be advised that the price will go up to $1,800 per single marker on January 1, 2019.
ALSO, payment of cemetery markers is now possible through the Parish’s online program.
For any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Donnie Jameson, Director of Operations, at 803.535.9029, operations.director@ollchapin.org.
