Each region has specialties called regional products.

Le Nord-Pas-de-CalaisLe Nord-Pas-de-Calais

In Nord-Pas-de-Calais we find the chicories gratin as specialty.

It is chicories encircled with edges of ham with white sauce and some cheese.

La CorseLa Corse

In Corse we find the broccio which is a kind of cream cheese made of milk of ewe or goat. It is used in a

lot Corsican dish.

L’ AlsaceL’ Alsace

In Alsace we find the sauerkraut made of cabbages raw grated with potatoes

and sausages.

La LorraineLa Lorraine

In Lorraine we find the quiche lorraine. It’s a tart with strips of bacon, cheese

and with eggs, cream and milk.

L’Aquitaine L’Aquitaine

In Aquitaine we find the tourin. It’s a garlic soup with onion.

La Picardie La Picardie

In Picardie we find the flamiche. It’s a tart with cheeses.

La Franche-Comté La Franche-Comté

In Franche-Comté we find the fondue. There are different fondues :

*Meat fondue, pieces of meat of beef cooked in some scalding oil.

*Cheese fondue, pieces of bread dipped into some melted cheese.

In France, brides wear a traditional wedding dress : a white dress, they wear long white

gloves and a veil, and they have a

bunch of flowers.
