Work Attendance Arrive before work start time to prepare for your day ahead

Commence your daily tasks on time

Work through until the required finish time

Time off needs to be fair and just across the work place

Understand how absence can impact on others

Flexibility in start/finish time can assist staff to attend to home issues without having to take the whole day off

Workers morale and motivation can be impacted by poor attendance of others

Character & Initiative Workers with strong character will

Be committed to their work and the workplace Be honest in their daily dealing with work colleagues and clients By trustworthy in their dealing with work colleagues and clients

Workers who use initiative are Motivated Enthusiastic Industrious Hard working

Self-discipline & Self-responsibility A worker who is self-disciplined will

Decide what behaviour best reflects their goals and values Be conscious of what they are doing and what they are not doing Commit to and have courage to follow through

A worker who has self-responsibility will Acknowledge the choices they make Accept the choice of direction they take Not blame others for the choices they make Be honest about their strengths, abilities, talents and values

Team Work Positive team work will be successful when all colleagues

Make a commitment to the team Make an effort to foster team spirit Respect the rights of others Co-operate Are assertive in their dealing with others Seek opportunities to grow together Seek opportunities to learn from each other

Appearance & Attitude All work colleagues will

Dress according to their position or the job they are undertaking Regard appearance as an important communication and presentation skill Realise that first impressions are important Work towards a more confident attitude Better understand others Bring optimism and innovation to the work group Have the confidence to take calculated risks to improve performance Be empathetic towards others View minor failures as learning experiences

Productivity Productivity will see work colleagues

Avoid multi-tasking and set times for tasks Eliminate unnecessary meetings/chat sessions Avoid disruptions Make a daily task list Avoid using social media during work time Keep personal mobile phone away from desk and use in breaks only Set up a system to complete work Clear desk each afternoon before leaving work
