What is Bosphorus strait
1) The Bosphorus is the 32 km long strait.
2) which joins the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea in
Istanbul -IST.
3) Istanbul - IST is the Largest city in Turkey.
4) It separates the continents of Europe and Asia.

2) It is also the only one to have been a capital
during two empires - Christian and Islamic.
Oil transportation in the Bosporus
1) Approx. 5,500 oil tankers, passing through
the straits annually.
2) it is also one of the world's busiest
chokepoints.
It is crossed by two major bridges
1) The Bosporus Bridge.
2) the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
