Memorial Mall

BoilermakersWhen people hear Purdue they think of the 40,000 students that attend the campus every day

Where do they go?

Most people think that students at Purdue mainly spend time at the Union, libraries, or dorm rooms . . .

Center of Attention

Most people overlook the very center of campus that entertains, relaxes, and concentrates the boilermakers every day—The Memorial Mall.

What is it?

The Memorial Mall is a park filled with grass, trees, and convenient sidewalks. You will notice John Purdue’s tombstone, a fountain, and the hello walkway.

At the Memorial Mall, students like to . . .

Study.

Entertain.

Play.

Gather.

Pass by.

Relax.

Ride a bike.

Follow Tradition.

Many Students always greet the people they pass on the Hello Walkway. Next time you pass a person at the Memorial Mall—don’t forget to say a friendly hello or a sweet good-bye.
