• There were comments from some HDR students on the poor library resources, and their consequent need to use other libraries such as those at the University of Sydney and ANU, for example.

• The library has to give careful consideration to its ability to provide a quality service to the planned growth in research effort.

PRELIMINARY AUDIT COMMENTS

• Library service was rated very positively by the Panel

BUT• The Panel noted that the collection was

variable with regard to its ability to support research

IMPRESSIONS

1. It’s extremely time & resource intensive2. Every Panel is different3. You can’t predict what the Panel will ask

about4. Tell it warts and all – if it isn't good, tell

them what you are doing about it5. Don’t forget the good things – they want

good news stories too
