August 23, 2015 Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?” Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” - Jn 6:67-69
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION St. John Paul II says, “The Eucharist is the heart of the Church, where Eucharis-
tic Life flourishes, there the life of the Church will blossom.”
Please consider spending some time with Our Lord
during Eucharistic Adoration on Thursdays from
10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Please consider giving just a
1/2 hour of your time - the rewards are Heavenly!
Please call Joan McKee at 934-0979 or Pat Flynn
937-1082 with all questions.
Next week the Alhambra, Caravan Abba Koval #200 will be at
Holy Trinity to collect donations before and after Masses. All do-
nations benefit the physically and mentally challenged in our
area.
Family Perspective Today’s second reading from Ephesians makes today “nudge Sun-day”. Husbands nudge their wives when they hear “wives should be submissive to their husbands”. Wives return the nudge at the words, “husbands love your wives as Christ loves the Church”. The key to this reading is the first line: “be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ”. When love is mutual and generously shared between husband and wife - marriage goes to a whole new won-derful level!
Lost and Found Lost and Found items are located on the shelf in the back of
the church by the East Entrance. If the item you have lost looks to have significant monetary value, the item is taken to the Parish Office...rings, watches, ear-rings, cell phones and etc. Please call the Parish Of-fice regarding valuable items. 937-5363
