ASU Tempe Campus Tour: ASU Gammage
You dont have to be in New York to enjoy great performances. ASU Gammage, considered by manyto be the crowning jewel of ASUs Tempe campus, is one of Frank Lloyd Wrights last designs. Wrightdesigned the building to be as acoustically perfect as possible. This means that every seat is a greatseat for the many PROGRESSIVE Broadway Across America Arizona series performances andperforming arts groups on stage throughout the year. ASU students are eligible for discounts forselect performances.
ASU Gammage is also the location for many university traditions and special graduation celebrationsat the close of each semester.
Constructed in 1964, the building is named for Grady Gammage, the legendary ASU president wholed Arizona State Colleges victorious campaign in the state legislature for a name change to ArizonaState University in 1958.
