Move-outYou need to move out of your room by Friday, May 1, 2020.If you want to switch rooms for the Spring 2020 semester,you will need to do that on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Email CommunicationsUntil you are registered for classes, the Department of Housingwill communicate with you through the email address listedon your Institute admission application.

Once you are assigned an official Georgia Tech email account,it will become our official point of contact with you.

Housing CancellationIf your plans change and you no longer intend to live onTech’s campus for 2019-2020, please cancel your applicationin MY HOUSING.

If you notify Admissions or any other Georgia Tech departmentthat you are no longer attending Georgia Tech, you still needto cancel with the Department of Housing.

Items to BringYou will find a list of suggested items to bring and items notallowed in Georgia Tech housing at housing.gatech.edu > Move-In > Items to Bring. Contact your roommate tocoordinate on large items.

Move-inAll First-Year students can move in beginning:Thursday, August 15 - Friday, August 16.

Information about Move-In will be on our website before Augustat housing.gatech.edu. It will include arrival times, check-inlocations, and much more.

Bed lofting may only be done by authorized Housing staff per anonline Maintenance request (maintenance.housing.gatech.edu)after you move into your room.

Late ArrivalIf you plan to arrive later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18,email information@housing.gatech.edu with your name, gtid#,and the latest date you will arrive on campus. You may also callus at 404.894.2470 M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

If you do not check in or notify us before August 19 at noon, youwill be declared a “No Show”, and your room will be reassigned.

Roommate(s)First-Year students who completed their Housing applicationby the deadline will be able to search for a roommate June 3-16.This will be done in MY HOUSING, and there are three searchoptions:

1. Add Known Roommates2. Profile3. Browse Matching

Roommate requests can be updated until June 16, 2019. Whenyou are accepted as a requested roommate, or your requestfor a roommate has been accepted, you will be able to assignone another to a room during Self-Assign.

Roommate AssignmentFirst-Year students who completed their Housing application bythe deadline will be eligible to search for and assign themselvesand any Accepted Roommates to their own room for the2019-2020 Academic Year.

Watch for an email notification of the day and time-slot youcan go to MY HOUSING and assign your room. You may want tofamiliarize yourself with the First-Year residence hallsbeforehand by visiting housing.gatech.edu/housing-options toread about and tour each building.

*If you applied after the deadline an assignment will be madefor you.

Room ChangeYou can change your room yourself! A room swap is when twostudents agree to swap rooms and perform the swap onlinethemselves. Simply log-in to MY HOUSING and use the Room Swaptab on the gold bar. Advertise our room and search for anotheradvertised room you might like to change into. Room Swap isavailable until you pick up your key during Move-in.

Last Chance Room Change Days will be:Wednesday, August 21 - Friday, August 23.
