Main features of the project
The first time in the world using the TORBED technology to burn the rice husk.
As a result, a complete burning of the husk will turn them into amorphous silica.

Result finding from a lab test shows that the ash is 100% amorphous.

Note:crystallite ash is usually produced by other typical rice husk reactors
used in the region. Crystallite ash could cause lung problem among the workers.

Challenges
The challenges of the project is the time to build this thing, which expect atthe beginning that it would take only 24 months maximum, and the crediting
period would start in 2008.
The 3 years delay, make the project loss a lot of opportunities not only on theCDM but also chance to utilize cheaper power for the rice mill.
Reasons
- This is the first of its kind to apply this technology in the world andalso in Cambodia. . The project is somehow a prototype.
- lacking supply / equipment in the country.
- lacking skilled workforce in the country.
- transportation issue country infrastructure.

Recommendations on CDM rules
1. Flexibility of the verification
since a plant might have some minor details different from itsoriginal PDD.
2. More flexibility on start of the crediting period (e.g. allowing tochange the start of the crediting period more than one time)
a project might face unforeseen difficulties from the delay ofconstruction or commissioning.
