About Upward Sports

The largest faith-based sports organization for children in the world, Upward Sports was established in 1995 in Spartanburg, North Carolina, by Caz McCaslin. Upward Sports offers a variety of sports programs for kids, including basketball, cheerleading, flag football, and soccer. These programs are designed to provide the children with a fun-filled experience, healthy competition, and important tools and values that can be used both in sports and in life. A few of the tenets of Upward Sports include integrity, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for authority.

Conclusion

Today, there are more than 2,400 churches that host Upward Sports leagues worldwide, with nearly 500,000 children participating. As of 2010, the organization hosted more than 500,000 coaches, referees, and volunteers in Canada and 47 states in the United States.
