Then the Council may be able to help!

The Community Care program at the Rural City of Murray Bridge receives part funding from the Department of

Social Service to assist residents to remain in their own homes by providing low level support to aged residents

and their carers.

Domestic Assistance, transport, home maintenance, home modifications, respite and monthly social programs.

Author Visit

Meredith Appleyard

Author of The Country Practice

April 21st, 11am - 12.30pm at the Murray Bridge Library

Meredith was born and raised in the Murray

Mallee region and spent most of her career

working as a registered nurse. When a friend

challenged her to write a book she accepted and after

being rejected once she began to study and successfully

completed an advanced diploma of Arts - Professional

Writing with the Adelaide Centre for arts, she

graduated in 2009.

As she spent most of her life living and working in the

country, Meredith’s interest with small town

communities and the challenges of providing health

care services is reflected in her debut novel

The Country Practice.
