Active Library Explorer (ALEX)

ALEX is the Customer Product Inventory (CPI) tool used with the

Ericsson Network.

It is a large database of libraries, operational instructions and

documentation on every aspect of the network

ALEX can be accessed from the Element Manager tool, if it is

stored on a server. Alternatively it can be distributed to users

Carries instructions for many common field maintenance tasks,

OPIs for troubleshooting the majority of node alarms, and detailed

descriptions of all nodes

Must ensure up-to-date copy is used! ALEX will be frequently

updated by Ericsson, with new releases, network changes.
