Summer Art SeriesTake some time this summer to discover your inner artist with Izabella Orzelski-Konikowski. These half-day summer workshops will take your colour theory and portrait painting skills to a new level!
ABCs of Colour TheoryIn this week-long summer workshop, you will complete a number of small studies from observation. We will begin by studying values and what creates neutrals. Chroma, or the intensity of colour, will follow, along with analyzing hue. These elements will be studied both independently and together in order to create complex colour palettes. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to mix colours with confidence and successfully apply glazing technique. Open to students of all levels. Supplies are needed.

The manual bookkeeping process demonstrates what software programs do behind the scenes. Bookkeeping Principles & Applications ProgramWhether your aim is to find work or increase your value to your current employer, Metro’s Bookkeeping Principles & Applications Certificate Program will help you hone and demonstrate your knowledge of and skill in applying bookkeeping and accounting principles.
The program includes both theory and hands-on application of what you learn. You will complete two practicum assignments: one using manual bookkeeping and the other in QuickBooks using free trial software or your own computer program.
You must complete the following courses and achieve 100% on the practicum exercises to receive your Certificate of Recognition. All courses, including the practicum, must be completed within one year of initial registration.

The estimated time to complete the practicum is 15 - 35 hours. You are not required to attend the classroom portion of the practicum unless you feel you need assistance to complete the assignments. You must achieve 100% on the practicum assignments (one done manually and the other done in QuickBooks) to qualify for a Certificate of Recognition.

Refund Policies• Metro reserves the right to cancel any class. A full refund will be issued
for all cancelled classes.
• If you cannot attend a class, you may send a friend or family member in your place. This person must present your registration confirmation to the instructor.
• To withdraw or transfer from a class for a refund, please notify Metro‘s Customer Service office at least two full business days prior to the start date of your class. After that time, transfers are not possible.
• Refunds may take up to four weeks to process through Edmonton Public Schools Financial Services.
