What Is the Query Builder?
The Query builder is a UI tool to help you: Select attributes Then group and evaluate conditions on those attributes Include attributes not found in the pre-defined summary list
..All without using the query language syntax
Follow relationships from the starting node type and group and evaluate attributes on destination nodes in the same way

Save the Query (1)
Return to the Query Constructor tab to save the query for future use All conditions must be applied first Otherwise the “Save” button will be grayed out Provide a title and a description

Select a List of Hosts
Go To: Infrastructure Tab
Click on Hosts Icon from Infrastructure Summary

Filter By Column (1)
Filter the list to only display virtual hosts Click on the filter tool
Under the virtual column Select “Yes” from the drop down menu

Filter again to only view VMware hosts Use the filter tool
Under the Hardware Vendor Column Select “VMware, Inc.”
Now click on “Customize”

Notice the conditions that the query builder has so built so far Virtual is true Hardware Vendor is VMware, Inc.

Using Query Builder (2)
Use the lookup tool to select the hostname attribute and add to the query viewer section
Now choose “contains word” from conditional drop down menu Enter “test” and hit the apply button to see results below

Customizing the Columns
Now use the lookup tool to add the RAM attribute Rename if you wish
Remove the status attribute Use the red x
Hit apply to save any changes made on this tab

Go back to the Query Constructor Tab Apply all the changes Save query for later use
