There is no charge for this training. It is funded through state and federal grants.

Time: 5 days (40 hours)Class Size: Prerequisite: Participants must be state-certified law enforcement, fire, Tele-communicator or EMS providers. EMS providers should be EMT-B certified (preferably EMT-I or EMT-P). Required Equipment: Pen and paper, duty gear, body armor, groin protection, and appropriate clothing for "force-on-force" training (long sleeve shirt, gloves, etc.) Head, eye, and throat protection will be provided.A laptop or tablet is strongly suggested for reviewing course materials in preparation for the teach back portion of the course.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Class sizes have been adjusted to meet COVID safety protocols.

The AAIR T3 is designed to improve integrationbetween law enforcement, fire, tele-communicatorand EMS in active attack / shooter events. Thecourse provides law enforcement officers with keymedical skills based on tactical emergency casualtycare guidelines, which can be used at the point ofinjury to increase survivability of victims.

The course also provides a model framework for lawenforcement, fire, and EMS to integrate responsesduring an active attack / shooter event through therescue task force concept.

This course has been designed to improve the safetyand survivability of victims of active attack / shooterevents and increase the effectiveness, coordination,and resource integration between law enforcement,fire, tele-communications and EMS when respondingto these events.
