The first image had the end of the guitar cut off the shot so I took the photo again but re positioned the camera so the whole of the guitar fit in.

Whilst doing the photo shoot I had a new idea for the dominant image for the cover of my magazine. I told both Connor and Tom to pretend to fight with the idea I could make the main story a ‘Head to Head battle for the Number 1 spot’ and then make my double page spread about both of them.

The only down side to this image being on the cover is that it could be misleading to someone scanning the shelves when they see the title ‘SOLO’ but there are two people on the cover.

This is the best image I took of Tom during the photo shoot. He is central to the shot and the image is in perfect focus. The only downside to this photo is that it isn’t obvious what genre of music he performs or whether he is a music artist at all. The hand gesture is commonly used with artists in the drum and bass/dubstep scene and so this is the only clue as to what music he plays.

I would have to make it very obvious to the audience through the text on the cover as to who he is and what music he produces.

This is my favourite photo from the photo shoot and the one I think is most suited for the dominant image on the cover.

With the picture before of Tom not being clear with him being a musician, I think is the opposite. The acoustic guitar not only shows he is a music artist but presents him as a solo artist. Electric guitars are normally associated with bands whereas the likes of Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner and Charlie Simpson all play acoustic guitars.

There is also space for text down the right hand side of the image.
