MY BOARDING SCHOOLMy name is Silvia and I’m thirteen. I was born in Guatemala, but now I go to Highfield School in Scotland. My parents live in Guatemala so I’m a boarder. That mean I live at school and I only go home during the vacations. Luckily we have very long vacations. In total, we have nineteen weeks of vacations every year.

At school we have classes every day except on Sunday. I study math, english, history, geography, science, French and Latin. Latin is my favorite subject. We also have a lot of times for games, hobbies and sports, for example, computer games, origami, hockey and swimming. I really like rugby. Yes, girls play rugby too!

I like my school very much, but there are a lot of rules. You must wear a uniform and you mustn’t talk when a teacher is talking. You must be in bed before nine o’clock and you mustn’t talk after a quarter past time. Life is difficult.
