2nd Grade Montessori Learning Board In each box you will find an activity that helps your child practice an essential concept.

Choose one activity from each area every day. If there are two activities in a box, you can do one or both. As your child completes each activity, please take a picture with your device and post it to Seesaw or send it in an email. Plan for your child to complete 2+ hours of work each

Friday Write your own acrostic poem by writing the topic

down the left side of your paper

(ideas: your name, an animal, a

friend). Then write the lines of your

poem. Add an illustration!

Cut out the categorizing ice

cream cones and scoops. (see

attached) Glue the scoops onto

the cone to which it belongs. The categories are self-care items,

things in the garden, and electronics.

Access Code: FWKR-RWYP Do you have any plastic animals or dinosaurs? Try to put it next to a piece of paper in the yard so it casts a shadow. Trace the outline of the shadow and color in. Look at the pattern if the animal has any on it’s fur. Extension: Choose a color scheme and use warm or cool colors. Create zentangles on your animal. Create a background for your animal. Add some interesting details. Have fun being creative!

Create a family portrait! Every family is unique! You can decide who will be part of your family. Use details and add color. Remember to use good craftsmanship when adding color. :)
