Well my friends, another fabulous year has passed us by at the York School. As you flip through these pages, all of the exciting events that defined our year will present themselves to you. All your friends are

depicted here and I know that you will have them all autograph it for you. I must tell you that after many years; even I pick up my school yearbook

and call up old friends.

I want to thank the the Yearbook committee that have put this wonderful book together for the rest of us to enjoy. It is a very difficult task to capture memories but I know you all agree with me when I say a collective thanks.

Dear students,

As you look through the pages of this year's Perspective, you will be reminded of all the special assemblies, trips, athletics, arts events, school-wide fund raisers and daily classroom activities in which you

participated this year. These pictures are yours to enjoy over and over again!

This was an exciting year of firsts - we initiated the student recognition assemblies to honour students who took responsible action and who participated in school life, we held our very first Grade 5 exhibition in March, and we busily planned for our move to the 1639 Yonge Street campus where the whole Lower

School will be in one building for the first time in York's history!

I want to thank Anne Bell, Sara Spencer, Julie Selley, Ana Luizinho, Lisa Harasti and Katherine Almeida for the many hours that they spent documenting the wonderful memories of our year in the pages of this

yearbook.

Good luck to next year's Grade 6 and 7 students who will be staying at this campus as part of our Upper School and to the students who are going to new schools next year. To the many students whom I will be

welcoming to our new Lower School home, have a wonderful summer holiday and I'll see you in September!
