    PRESENTATION

    THIS HANDBOOK summarises the characteristics, adjustments, checks and special features of CITRwhich there exists a separate handbook.

    The handbook is divided into nine sections representing the main functions :

    GENERAL - ENGINE - INJECTION - IGNITION - CLUTCH, GEARBOX, DRIVESHAFTS - AXLES, SUSSYSTEMS - ELECTRICAL - AIR CONDITIONING.

    In each section, the various vehicles are dealt with in the following order: C15 - BERLINGO - BERLmodels where applicable.

    This handbook applies only to vehicles in Europe.

    - If the results of the visual check are not satisfactory, set the valve

    - Turn the crankshaft (direction of rotation).

    - Peg the flywheel.

    - Peg :

    The camshaft pulley using tool [2].

    The injection pump pulley using tool [3].

    NOTE : BOSCH injection pump, 9.5 mm peg - LUCAS DIE

    - Loosen :

    The screws (1) using tool 6016 - T.

    The screws (2).

    - Tighten the screws (1) and (2) by hand and slacken by 1/6

    - Slacken the nut (3).

    - Remove the belt.

    Tensioning the belt

    - Fit the tool [5].- Pre-adjust the tension using the tool [4] (tension adjusting spanne

    - Adjust the tension to : New belt to 107 SEEM units. Reused belt to 80 SEEM units- Tighten the tensioner roller to 4.5 m.daN.

    Checking the fitting pre-te

    - Correct the tension, if necessary, using the tool [5].- Tighten the screws (1) and (2) pre-tighten to 1 m.daN, tighten to 2- Remove all the tools.- Rotate the engine through 10 turns.- Peg the flywheel using the tool [1] (direction of rotation).

    - Loosen the screws (1) and (2).

    - Tighten the screws (1) and (2) by hand, then loosen by 1/6- Slacken the belt completely (using the tensioner roller).

    New belt to 58 SEEM units

    Reused belt to 51 SEEM units- Tighten the roller to 4.5 m.daN.

    Checking the fittin

    - Remove the tool [5] (make any necessary correction).- Tighten the screws (1) and (2) pre-tighten to 1 m.daN, tight- Remove the tools.- Rotate the engine through 2 turns.

    Checks

    - Peg the flywheel using the tool [1].- Visually check the pegging of the camshaft and injection pu- If incorrect, repeat the setting operation.- Remove the tools.
