1. The enzyme protease is made in the stomach, pancreas and small intestine. It catalyses the breakdown of protein into amino acids.

1. The enzyme lipase is made in the pancreas and small intestine. It catalyses the breakdown of fats into fatty acids and glycerol.

2. The liver produces bile. Bile is stored in the gall bladder. When released into the small intestine it neutralises stomach acid and emulsifies fats.
