RB84 Side- Mechanical stability of the 1st concrete shield (front of VELO) to be checked with a pressure of 40 mbar. Calculations has been performed by J.C. Batista Lopes DG-SC edms 1005362/1 19 June 2009) – Conclusion : Good stability up to pressure 75 mbar – sliding of upper part - Installation of aluminium cover sheets (LHC tunnel side)- Work scheduled fro week 26

RB86 Side- All main joints (MF4) will be filled with PUR or plastic seal (in particular small gaps) + special concrete (repair cement) + cover sheets.- Strengthen of the sector door (?) . But how. - Cover the cryo-line with aluminium sheets (8-10 mm thick)- Work scheduled for wks 30 – 31

Summary – Main Works on going

1st LTEX 22 June 2009 D.LACARRERE 14

Remarks UJX Tunnel (from UJ87 up to PX shaft)

- Mechanical stability of the wall between tunnel & UJX to be checked with a pressure of 40 mbar. Contact with GS-CE Group

US85/UX85- Wall between US85 & UX85 is made of “SIPOREX” concrete (20 cm thick) Mechanical stability to be check (?)

BUDGET & COORDINATION

- Budget code to be used ? Machine side ?- How to proceed ? - Coordination on site – Who ?
