Dear Parents and Caregivers

It appears that there is so much uncertainty surrounding public gatherings and responses to the coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide and in Australia. As many may have heard, schools in Britain will be closed indefinitely from Monday, international travel is not recommended and locally Anzac Day Services, Dubbo Show, Dubbo Eisteddfod, staff training, school/community events, excursions and inter school meetings and interaction in sport or other activities.

Whilst all of these are unwelcome we have a social responsibility to our community, state, country and ultimately the world. Any further information we attain from the Department of Education, which is now becoming quite regular, will be sent home with students. Everyone at school appears fine and healthy, fingers and toes crossed that it remains this way. Stay well

Regards

Principal

What does this all mean?

As a result of the current unique circumstance there will be:

• No Friday assemblies • No school banking • No Easter Hat Parade • No Year 6 Personal Development Day • No chocolate Easter egg making • No Science and Engineering Day this term • No Scripture on Friday mornings • No Wiradjuri lessons • No P&C meeting next Wednesday

Good news

The P&C Hot Cross Bun/ Pie Drive is still happening. This is a great opportunity to acquire some tucker for Easter without having to look at empty supermarket shelves. Don’t forget you can freeze them. So if you haven’t done so already get your orders in NOW. Orders must be in by Friday, March 27.

More good news

In place of the Easter Hat Parade, we plan to have a massive Easter egg hunt for the children.

Principal’s Message ‘Try Always’

PLEASE……

Student Banking

Notice from CommBank School Banking

The health, safety and wellbeing of our communities and our people is our first priority. Due to the rapidly developing situation with coronavirus, School Banking has been temporarily paused from 20 March 2020 until the start of Term 2. Please don’t bring your deposit book with your weekly banking into school and we will notify you when banking will recommence.

Are you ordering school jackets or Year 6 shirts?

Orders and payment for school jackets and the Year 6 shirts need to be in to the school office by next Tuesday March 24.
