This presentation was originally given at ACGI Software's KDays Conference for association executives. Private online member communities present a wealth of opportunity for associations and nonprofit membership organizations. By keeping more members engaged and increasing the value that each member receives from their membership, your organization will be able to attract new members, improve retention, and increase non-dues revenue generation. However, in the eyes of many association professionals, creating an online community for members holds just as many risks as it does benefits.
