Vision

To assist, mentor and train young adults, to see God’s hand in His creation, to discover their personal Godly path, and to develop a lifetime relationship with Christ & with each other.

GUIDING PRINCIPLE

The single most important idea that a young adult needs to have in order to accomplish great tasks

is to believe that he can.

Mission statement

Provide young men with discipleship and skill training in support of The Summit’s mission; More Christians, Better Christians, In a vibrant community, for the good of the world.

Goals

Introduce God and His Son Jesus through His word

Develop a clear understanding of our place in Him

Develop a solid relationship with Him Develop strong relationships with leaders,

parents, teammates Develop life skills Have fun

Boundaries and limitations

REQUIREMENTS

•Age: Youth must be between the ages of 14 years through (and including) 19 years old•Physically able: Youth must be capable of outdoor, high adventure activities•Maturity: Youth must display a degree of maturity commensurate with their age.•Commitment: Youth must attend all required meetings and preparatory outings as planned and stated by the leadership•Youth are NOT required to be members of this or any church or religious organization

School attendance School grades Behavioral problems at home and school Physical assessment and quarterly testing Performance of skills Male/Female Full Value contract

Respect of self and others Participation and encourage others Take appropriate risks Follow instructions Feedback Let go of previous negative issues

Commitment

The leaders, participants and parents must commit to a minimum of 1 year and anticipate 3 years of commitment to the program

Meetings will be on Mondays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Location will be at The Summit (youth center)
