Torso ergonomic Office chairTorso Chair was designed to ful-fill human comfort during work time, it is inspired from the hu-man torso as to be a part of your body while seating. The main concept of designing this chair is to express freely motion; ev-ery feature is adjustable; Head rests, hand rests, lumbar sup-port, adjustable seat height & tilting mechanism.

It supports social interaction as the back rest is divided into two parts to give you the best twist-ing experience while talking to work colleagues without any troubles.

tuk Speakerdesktop speaker

tuk Speaker is an interactive gesture controlled speaker which flirts you to interact with it, you can turn the volume up or down by just moving the head of the speaker right or left, and you can turn off or on by moving the head forward or backward.

yoU Chair, is all about you, it is a chair that hugs you for a maxi-mum comfort giving you the feeling of relaxation, it is very welcoming with its hand rests asking you to sit down !

ElectronicPill OrganizerThe Electronic Pill Organizer is designed for people with dis-eases which take a long time for treatment (diabetes, cardiac problems, etc.) Like old people who take different pills in differ-ent times everyday. Using the ordinary pill organizer is very confusing for them, they also easily forget some of the pills, In some cases it may cause se-vere problems.

The Electronic pill organizer can be filled up with pills and then adjusting the clock and dates and it will work to notify the patient with the names of medicines on time, It will also vi-brate for deaf people and ring or speak the name of the medicine for he blind people.

The E-Pill organizer can be charged through a usb cable and also it can be adjusted automatically through a time sheet on a computer, and it can update information automati-cally while charging. If the patient is not familiar with computers, he can adjust it manually or by using time sheet that can be adjusted once by the physician or by one of the pa-tient’s relatives.

Sheet DeskIDSS 2010, Facolta de Ingegneria II, Bologna University

Sheet Desk is a flat-pack furni-ture product designed for youth which is cost effective, easy to maintain and clean, easy to man-ufacture, can be customized & saving space as well. It comes with a set of wooden hangers as customize your shelving system using these hangers and wire.

The product was done in the Italian Design Summer School 2010 (IDSS) in a group working sessions.

BLENDEDYOUGURT

Playfulness, fun and laughter are necessary antidotes to our daily stressed lives, especially when living in a busy over populated city like Cairo.

Blended Yoghurt is a young, playful brand inspired from our daily lives, in a more surprising way, ready to flirt with their users. Designed to put a smile on their users face and makes the inter-action process between the user and the product more fun and easy. Moreover Blended Yougurt products are always asking you questions, just to make you won-der; WHY?

The Name of the brand “Blended Yoghurt” is inspired from the Egyptian popular and loved drink”Zabaadi Khalat” that is made by mixing the yoghurt with any flavor you want depending on your taste, its healthy refreshing and loved by most of the Egyptians, and it really a reflection of society as we are a mixture (blend) of different cultures.

POT Lighting unitWhen designing this product I was wondering what if the plates, pots, and tableware were turned upside down. What would happen?, And the result was POT Lighting unit.

Blast Chair

Have a blast!, blast Chair is de-signed with a spirit of outburst, even in its proportions that seems unusual, it is talking to youth; it is bold, fresh, and very upbeat. The chair is ergonomi-cally designed to deliver com-fort in it is elastic junction be-tween the seat an the back rest and in its welcoming form of the seat and back rest.

Light in the box lighting unit , is inspired by the famous pup-pet jack in the box, that surpris-ingly pop up giving you light, the design is playful, young and always makes you happy when turning the light on.

Recycling monsters was a proj-ect by the designer to promote recycling in the Egyptian society as, specially for children, The monsters are colorful , smiley and interactive, they are funny characters that you will like to throw your garbage in as you are feeding them, conveying the message to children that recy-cling is important , and it is even as important as the process of animals feeding on others in the context of environmental bal-ance.

CAIRO connctedCPT transport systemApparently, one of Egypt’s big problems is traffic. That is why I thought of this project as a solution for the problem, this project is an aerial trams (Cable Propelled Transit) transport sys-tem designed to be connected with the other forms of transport in Cairo like Metro,Buses, & the very new comer Nile water Taxi.



Facts about CPT * demonstrat-ing why its suitable to Egypt

Cost: CPT is cheap to build and main-tain. The vehicles operate without en-gines, which drives down construction and maintenance costs. Cable transit systems can be built and maintained for a fraction of the cost of typical light rail systems.

Safety: With the exception of elevators (which utilize the same basic technol-ogy), there are few public transit tech-nologies with as good a safety record as cable. Over 10,000 cable installations operate worldwide, transporting billions of people per year, yet accidents are rare and fatalities are almost unheard of.

Energy Efficiency: From an environ-mental standpoint, cable is in a class of its own. Due to its use of gravity and counter-balancing, it is not uncommon for maintenance workers to witness a cable system’s energy consumption drop below zero during peak loads. That is, the system itself can generate power.

Speed: Cable transit can operate at speeds of up to 45 km/hr, well in excess of the average speeds of most tradi-tional transit technologies. According to the American Public Transit Association, buses average approximately 20 km/hr; subways 33 km/hr; and light rail 24 km/hr. Average speed in urban public transit is dependent upon station spacing and right of way, not technology choice.
