A Note from the President:

Our Holiday Party was by all measures a big success; thanks to everyone who made it out. Dorothy Lane Market did a great job pairing the wine with the dishes prepared by the Engineers’ Club. We received a lot of positive feedback, which means we will look at doing this type of event in the future.

I mentioned in last month’s president’s note that Tom Ferdelman’s coat went missing at the December meeting. It has since been re-turned to Tom! Thanks to whoever brought it back!

Our next meeting is a joint AIA meeting on February 13 at Aileron. The topic is going to concentrate on ethical issues in the construc-tion process. Ethics is an important topic that we are going to try and work into at least one program annually.

Also please be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities. Engi-neers’ Week is coming up and there will are lots of chances to get involved.

See you at Aileron! Nathan Lammers—President, Dayton ASHRAE

2015-2016 saw ASHRAE continue its leadership in developing standards and guidance for the design, operation and maintenance of healthy, ener-gy efficient buildings.

Funds to accomplish this research are received from members and com-panies active in the industry. Once again the Dayton Chapter was among the leaders in Region V , submitting a new high of $16,482. This year’s Goal is $16,920.

The HVAC Industry gives us all our livelihood. ASHRAE’s research and educational programs are what keeps our industry and professions on the leading edge and assures its continued existence. Confident that you will recognize the benefits of this investment, we are asking you to help fund future HVAC&R research and development by donating this year. Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Together we can all make a difference!
