Andrea has a contact for dragon boat

Bacon & Egg Burger Fundraiser
Amazon Volunteers had an early start at the recent Gourmet Bacon and Egg Burger stall at the Cedric street markets on Sunday 9th and 16th March. Just over $1500 was raised over the two days and will be split between the club and the team travelling to Florida in October. Many thanks to the willing helpers who were there supporting our club. Special thanks to Susan for being a great co-ordinator and being there for both days. Great effort ladies!
From the Coaching Team This weekend we have the final regatta for the season, the State Titles. You know that a squad of Amazons accepted the challenge to train for a position by selection in a 10s team to compete in this event. We wish them well in this endeavour. This season has been a mixed bag for our club, we were thrilled to win ‘silver’ at the Geelong Masters Games in October and have built on this to improve PBs (personal best times) during the season. However, we’ve been dogged by illness, injury and all manner of commitments and these have had an impact on our training program. In the meantime we are set to go for the State Titles, so bring it on!
Fundraising and Social Committee
Preston Beach Weekend: More info about what to bring and where to go for the girlie weekend at Preston Beach will be sent out later this week. Keep in mind that it’s “voting day” on 5

th June at 4.00pm.

th May
(Mothers Day) to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
