ALTRANEX, THE FUTURE OF FUEL

Renewable Source Fuels Exactly Like Petroleum Counterparts,

But CO2 Neutral and Sulfur-Free

Page 2: Altranex, The Future of Fuel

Altranex Corp. is a bio-based chemicals company that develops and markets bio-lubricants and commercial transportation fuels. The company has developed and is licensing process technology that can transform biologically-derived virgin and waste oil into sustainable lubricating oils, fuels for shipping and commercial vehicles and raw materials for polymer production. By using locally produced feedstock, their goal is to deliver environmentally sustainable economic benefits through globally distributed production.

ALTRANEX, THE FUTURE OF FUEL

Altranex fuels are designed to meet current diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel specifications. And they are ready to drop-in to existing fueling infrastructure.

No additives. No new refineries. No specialized storage facilities or delivery systems. No noticeable difference to the distributor or end user.

A Key Component of Compatibility: Altranex fuels are hydrocarbon fuels exactly like their petroleum counterpart.

Altranex’s Altra-HFTM shipping fuel provides a new paradigm for the industry. Altra-HFTM is made from a renewable source – plants that have sequestered carbon dioxide from the atmosphere – and is therefore neutral with respect to CO2 emissions. This fuel also contains essentially no sulfur, already meeting the IMO 2020 regulations for fuel, and thereby virtually eliminates sulfur dioxide emissions.

Altra-HFTM can be made from a wide variety of feedstocks. Any plant-based oil, animal fat or a mixture thereof can be used to produce shipping fuel. Altranex has successfully produced fuel from canola, soybean, carinata, tallow and coconut oils, as well as used cooking oil.

By 2020, Altranex’s business plan projects to have licensed almost 30 production facilities around the world, each producing up to 100 MT/day of Altra-HFTM and other renewable products. The direct environmental impact of the use of Altra-HFTM is estimated to be a reduction of 2.8 million MT of GHG and 44,000 MT of sulfur dioxide emissions.
