Taylor Street Park (adjoining facility)

The Alston-Massenburg Center was named in 1987 in memory of George Massenburg, a former Town of Wake Forest employee, and Edward Alston, a life-time resident of the town.

Renovation: In 2012, the Town of Wake Forest fully renovated the Alston-Massenburg Center adding 1,350 square feet to the facility. The $650,000 renovation was funded through the town’s Capital Improvements Plan and a $165,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded to Wake County from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Improvements included a new roof, energy efficient windows and doors, as well as a revamped layout that now includes meeting space, a larger kitchen, bathrooms and a performance area.

Renters may select from one of three room configurations: Banquet A, Banquet B or Presentation. These configurations abide by fire safety regulations and are ADA compliant. If you wish to adjust the layout, please consult with town staff first.

Equipment Included in Rental—24 tables, 125 chairs, podium, AV equipment

• Renter will be responsible for all damage or misuse of the facility including repairs that exceed the deposit fee.

• Alcoholic beverages, intoxicating/controlled substances and smoking are prohibited.

• Nothing may be hung from, nor affixed to, light fixtures, nor tacked/stapled to walls and /or doors.

• No open flames of any kind.

• Any time needed for set up and clean up of rental is included in rental blocks.

• All trash must be removed off site.
