Aloha, Year 7. As you know from last lesson the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were controversial with many arguments for and against. Today you will be hearing from different people who were involved in some way with the Hiroshima bomb, and at the end of the session you will need to form an opinion about whether or not you think it was right for Truman to drop the bombs on Japan. Tasks: 1. Read each of statements from the six different people involved with the bombings. 2. For each one, write down: Who is it? Write their name . How were they involved with the bombings? Eg. survivor, pilot.. Do they think the bombings were right or wrong? What is their key arguments? DO you agree with them? Why/why not? 3. Aloha, Year 7.

As you know from last lesson the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

were controversial with many arguments for and against. Today you

will be hearing from different people who were involved in some way

with the Hiroshima bomb, and at the end of the session you will need

to form an opinion about whether or not you think it was right for

Truman to drop the bombs on Japan.

Tasks:
