I know this is the first time you are hearing about the project; however, we are now intoNovember and REALLY need to get the Environmental Assessment out for Public Notice. Could you PLEASE quickly review the project to determine if there will be a need for any permitsand/or approvals through your division by tomorrow? I know it's a lot to ask, but I don't foresee that The Shoulder will need to obtain any permits fromthe air division for this particular project, so if you could just take a look and confirm, I wouldgreatly appreciate it! (The Shoulder). The Shoulder sustained widespread damage duringHurricane Katrina and applied to FEMA’s Public Assistance Program under the presidential disasterdeclaration DR-1605-AL, declared August 29, 2005. FEMA is requesting the concurrence of theAlabama Department of Environmental Management with its determination of the likely impacts ofthe project and the need to seek any permits or approvals through your department.
