H U E S S H E U S E D : Devan wanted to use colors that expressed her personality, so she went with ivory, gold, and all things glitter. !ey guests were asked to wear black so that she would be the only person in color. !e cake, made by one of her bridesmaids, used the black and gold theme to create a perfect cake which was inspired by the Kate Spade stripes and polka dots.

T H E I R S TO RY : Devan had just moved to Dallas from Denver, and not too long a#er, she decided to get out there and start dating. She went online and created a pro$le on Plenty of Fish not thinking anything could seriously happen. She $nally got a message from Jeremy a#er seeing him a time or two before on the site. But not wanting to be the $rst to initiate anything, she waited for him to make the move. !e minute they started talking, she knew he was di%erent. !ey decided to meet for the $rst time on December 31, 2012. !at night a#er she le# him, Devan went straight home and told her roommate and called her best friend, and said she was going to marry this guy. !ey both thought she was crazy because they had just met, but Devan just knew he was the one, and she was right.

P E R F E C T P RO P O S A L : Jeremy surprised Devan with a romantic engagement scene as her friends brought her to Stardust Celebrations. With “A !ousand Years” playing in the background, Jeremy knelt on one knee and asked for Devan’s hand in marriage. A#er she said yes, they met their friends and family at Whiskey Cake
