Seating is reserved and all tickets are $10.00. The box office is at 641 E. Forest Street (OHS) or you may call 262-560-3172. A special thanks to our group of Drama parents - they are the best! They have been endlessly supportive, positive, and creative. We had a team of dads and mom and even grandparents putting in hours at the OAC. The school district OAC tech crew is jealous that we have such parent support! Lynne Carlstein, our SLI Choir and Mulan Director, asked for something that looks like a mountain pass on our scenery and got a whole mountain range! Parent Eric Nelson not only works endless hours helping to create the set, he also builds community with our students and set building crew. Parent Terri Field’s creative design and parent Karen Bruno’s color schemes have made the set a real treat to the eye. We have pink mountains! Parents (too endless to mention all) have gone the extra mile with publicity and costumes and sewing. All of our parents coming together to create this working community that helps our kids blossom on stage makes us so very proud of all parents, teachers, and kids at SLI! As Lynne Carlstein states, “ It is very humbling to work with such enthusiastic, understanding and supportive people. Many of our parents don’t even have children in the show”. Thanks to all of our parents who have supported SLI in many, many ways. We couldn’t do it without you, and make sure to get your tickets for Mulan, Jr. today! Last year, the generosity of the Silver Lake PTO and the band parents helped fund $17,000 worth of new band instruments! The PTO is again looking to help the band program with items "above and beyond" the yearly music budget. In order to accomplish that, we will be having two programs to participate in between now and the end of March - Market Day Dessert Bonus and SCRIP. All proceeds from this month's sale (desserts or otherwise) will go to the SLI music program! Our typical profit for a month is about $130, but with the bonus days sale, there is an opportunity to earn much more because the percentage of profit goes up incrementally. Thank you in advance for your support of the Silver Lake band and the Silver Lake PTO! The stage is set! Don’t miss this amazing show at the OAC this weekend!! Fifth grade students in Mrs. O’Connell’s and Mrs. Sindic’s class participated in the 2 nd Annual Silver Lake Non-Fiction Research Conference. Presentations included poster boards, Power Point, food, props, costumes, and raffle prizes. It was an exciting day at Silver Lake full of fun and knowledge!
