Page 2: All Saints’ Day In Portugal

On the first day of November, Portuguese children use to go out in the morning, in groups. Each one takes a bag and knocking at doors they ask “give me a cake for God’s sake”. At the end of the morning the bag is full of different things – cakes, chocolates, sweets, dried fruit, and some coins.

we previously

decorated the

And decided to

make pumpkin

jam to take to

our parents.

The pumpkin

was heavy...

…and very hard to cut.

Inside it was full of seeds we lke to eat salted and roasted.

After cut in small pieces, we

added sugar and after boiling a

while, the jam was ready.

The Pumpkin jam smell and taste

very well. With some nuts it’s even

better.

And is very nice too!
