Está de regresso ao Algarve o Festival de Música que surgiu com o duplo objetivo de resgatar e divulgar a música que durante séculos inundou bazares, medi-nas e palácios do Gharb al-Andalus, mas também homenagear o rei poeta al-Mutamid, o mais liberal e magnânimo de todos os taifas de al-Andalus.

The Al-Mutamid Music Festival is back in the Algarve. This event was born with two aims - to recover and promote the music which for centuries flooded ba-zaars, medinas and palaces of the Gharb al-Andalus, but also to pay tribute to the poet King al-Mutamid, the most liberal, magnanimous of all al-Andalus taifas.

Os trabalhos premiados na maior maratona fotográfica a sul do Tejo - 16.ª Corrida Fotográfica - estão em exposição no Museu de Portimão. Uma iniciativa que contou com a participação de 88 fotógrafos, alguns deles residentes estrangeiros oriundos de diferentes partes do país e ainda um grupo de espanhóis. No decorrer da prova os participantes tiveram opor-tunidade de registar, através da sua criatividade fotográfica, um renovado olhar sobre o património cultural e natural do município, captando gestos, pessoas, atividades, vivências e pormenores de Portimão.

The awarded works of the biggest photo half-marathon south of the River Tagus - 16th Photography Run at Portimão Museum. The event was par-ticipated by 88 photographers, some of them foreign citizens from vari-ous parts of Portugal and a group of Spanish photographers. During the competition, participants had the chance to record a renewed view of Por-timão’s cultural and natural heritage, capturing gestures, people, activities, lives and details.

A décima edição da Taça CTT conta com uma Final Four que se disputará no Estádio Algarve, onde se vai sagrar o primeiro Campeão de Inverno, título em disputa nos dias 25, 26 (meias-finais) e 29 de janeiro (final). O novo formato competitivo enquadra-se no novo posicionamento da prova, que promove os va-lores de Celebração, Paixão e Agregação num ambi-ente festivo e de espetáculo em torno do futebol.

The 10th edition of the CTT Cup includes the Final Four which will happen at Algarve Statium, where the first Winter Champion will win the title, on the 25th, 26th (semifinals) and 29th January (final). The new competitive format is explained by the new position of this competition, which promotes values such as Celebration, Passion and Togetherness in a festive at-mosphere that celebrates football.

Para que se cumpra a tradição, a Junta de Freguesia de Querença, em conjunto com a Paróquia da Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Assunção, organiza mais uma Festa das Chouriças. Esta festa conta com uma procissão, prova de chouriças assadas e muita animação musical.

In line with tradition, the Parish Council of Querença, together with the Parish Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, will be organising another edition of the Sau-sage Fair. The festivities include the procession, grilled sausage tasting sessions and plenty of live music.
