Executive Summary

Objective

Our objective is enhance the Philadelphia Sculptors website.

Goals

1. Improve internal navigation between tabs.

2. Improve social media strategies, including creating a twitter and subsequent twitter and

facebook feeds.

3. Improve organization within the website for better reader usability.

Solution

1. Consolidate contact information/become a member into separate Contact Us tab; including:

a. Facebook and Twitter buttons

i. Twitter link could be used to instantly update followers with ongoing and upcoming

events or any other exciting development.

ii. Followers are included in a constant dialogue with the Sculptors.

iii. Followers could include anyone.

iv.Facebook link simply needs to be fixed to navigate to the actual page, which wouldincrease the flow and dialogue of site visitors onto the facebook page.

2. Reorganization of Events page

b.Events and Opportunities on the main page would be more easily understood if it were left to

the particular tabs dedicated to those particular topics.

Option 1: Create calender of events. This eliminates need for lists of separate events consolidates

all events into one location.

Option 2: past events into a separate archive tab

Both options improve current situation of excessive scrolling down the right side of the page and

makes navigation and reading easier.

3. From the user perspective, the membership page could benefit from simplification

c. Readers don’t particularly need to be informed as to how to click on the names, it becomes

self evident.

d. Flushing left all the names, and removing the underline makes it easier on the eyes,

increasing reader usability.

4. Aiding to ease the access and navigation of certain pages on the website, a link needs to be

provided from the Opportunity tab back to the home page.

d. Again from the user perspective, there is some confusion as to the differentiation between

the Opportunities tab and the Links tab.

e. Perhaps the site could benefit from consolidation of these two tabs.

5. The About Us page could benefit from creating white space between the picture and the text,

which will aid in readability of the text. It helps reinforce the structure of the page and avoid

cluttered graphical elements.
