It takes up to 2 hours and 30 minutes (maximum) to fullycharge the battery pack. Chargingshouldbeconductedwithinatemperaturerange of 0 to 40C (32 to 104F). Donotmodify,dismantle,incinerate,orimmersethebatterypacki nwater,asthesepracti cescanbedangerous. Never short-circuit the battery pack terminals, as this cancausedamagetotheequipmentorleadtooverheatingthe battery, which could cause burns. Pleasebesuretoremovethebatterypackwhenthetransceiver is not in use. The battery pack should be stored in a dry place where thetemperature range is between -20 to 45C (-4 to 113F). Typically,thebatterypackcanbechargedupto500times.However, the battery pack can be considered dead if theperiodofusedropssignificantlydespitethepackbeingcharged for the aforementioned charging time.When this happens, a new pack should be used. Intheinterestsofenvironmentalprotection,donotdisposeoftheusedbatterypackimproperly.Checkwithyourlocalsolidwasteofficialsfordetailsonrecyclingoptions or proper disposal in your area.CautionWhen carrying DonotcarrytheDJ-C7inthepantspocket.Itmaydamage the transceiver when you sit. Once itis fully charged, the TX/RX lamp will turn green.Caution Besuretoconnectthechargertothebatterypackaftermountingittothetransceiver.Otherwise,thebatterypack won't be recharged. Disconnect the charger from the outlet while not using it. Neverchargethebatterypacksofothermanufacturerswith this charger. Therequiredchargingtimedependsontheconditionofthe battery pack. Nevershort-circuittheterminalsofthebatterypackwithmetalobjectsandthelike.Boththischargerandthetransceiver could be damaged. Thechargerdoesnotworkwhenthevoltagefromanoutlet is extremely low.ILow Battery Indicator Batteryconsumptionlevelmaychangedependingonthesurrounding temperature or the frequency of use. Charge the battery when the Low Battery Indicator appears.
