It takes up to 2 hours and 30 minutes (maximum) to fullycharge the battery pack. Chargingshouldbeconductedwithinatemperaturerange of 0 to 40C (32 to 104F). Donotmodify,dismantle,incinerate,orimmersethebatterypacki nwater,asthesepracti cescanbedangerous. Never short-circuit the battery pack terminals, as this cancausedamagetotheequipmentorleadtooverheatingthe battery, which could cause burns. Pleasebesuretoremovethebatterypackwhenthetransceiver is not in use. The battery pack should be stored in a dry place where thetemperature range is between -20 to 45C (-4 to 113F). Typically,thebatterypackcanbechargedupto500times.However, the battery pack can be considered dead if theperiodofusedropssignificantlydespitethepackbeingcharged for the aforementioned charging time.When this happens, a new pack should be used. Intheinterestsofenvironmentalprotection,donotdisposeoftheusedbatterypackimproperly.Checkwithyourlocalsolidwasteofficialsfordetailsonrecyclingoptions or proper disposal in your area.CautionWhen carrying DonotcarrytheDJ-C7inthepantspocket.Itmaydamage the transceiver when you sit. Nevershort-circuittheterminalsofthebatterypackwithmetalobjectsandthelike.Boththischargerandthetransceiver could be damaged. Thechargerdoesnotworkwhenthevoltagefromanoutlet is extremely low.ILow Battery Indicator Batteryconsumptionlevelmaychangedependingonthesurrounding temperature or the frequency of use. Charge the battery when the Low Battery Indicator appears. Pressthekeytoselectthebandtochangeitstuning step.2. Press thekey, and press the MONI key when yousee theicon appears on the LCD.3. Rotate the dial to choose a tuning step as you desire.4. Rotatethedialtoselectthememorychannelnumberyou wish to delete.4. Thesquelchisunmuted(isopenedcompletely)whiletheMONIkeyishelddown,regardlessofthesquelchlevelsetting.
