Q: Do we need to be on Aldine Independent School District approved vendor list to submit the proposal and/or work on the solution, if awarded?
A: No, you do not need to be on the Aldine Independent School District approved list to submit a
proposal. The purpose of the proposal is to evaluate your solution. The vendor recommended to the Board of Trustees if approved, then becomes the approved vendor for Aldine for the student information system.
Q: Are we are allowed to bring in a partner/sub-contractor for this project in order to combine our core
strengths and capabilities to provide a better solution to Aldine Independent School District? A: Yes, but please include this information in detail in your implementation plan. Q What is the current student count for Aldine ISD? A: Official 2014-2015 count: 69,716 Q: Will you need Health data converted from your current SIS system? A: Yes; immunizations, Acanthosis, Vision, Hearing, Scoliosis; we maintain some logs that probably
will not need to be converted. Q: Do you currently have a separate system for SPED? A: Yes; eSped; we sent enrollment data nightly to it and bring back SPED data Q: On page 52, you have a listing of additional grids and fields. Can you describe a grid? Can you list
the fields for each grid, if applicable? A: We will post a screen shot of each grid, but in general they are date driven records; as elements
change, a new record with a new date is added allowing us to track by date.
Q: There are three sheets in the excel version. The first sheet contains a list of 548 questions and a
“Grids and Fields Aldine Has Added to Current SIS” section. Sheet 2 relists the “Grids and Fields Aldine Has Added to Current SIS” section. Sheet 3 contains questions that appear to be included in the first sheet’s 548 question list. Do we need to provide any response to Sheets 2 or 3?

Factors independent from the PBMAS itself are also likely to have an impact on the future versions of PBMAS. These factors include the following: • ongoing development and implementation of the statewide assessment program, STAAR; • reauthorizations of federal statutes, including NCLB; • results of any state or federal reviews, guidance, and regulations; • changes to data collection definitions and processes; and • legislation from a regular or special legislative session. Changes to PBMAS Standards and Cut-Points As part of the annual PBMAS development cycle, the standards and cut-points for each PBMAS indicator are evaluated. A decision to adjust standards or cut-points for one or more indicators is based on a careful consideration of the following: • whether a state or federal goal has been identified for the indicator; • performance of the state on each indicator at the time standards and cut-points are set; • expected and actual improvement on the indicator over time; • amount of improvement that is reasonable for the indicator; • overall impact on the PBMAS of adjustments to standards and cut-points; • the PBMAS system’s guiding principles; • other considerations that could affect performance on particular indicators; • appropriate standards and cut-points across similar indicators; and • internal and external input.

This indicator compares the discretionary Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) placements of students served in special education to the discretionary placements of all students in DAEPs.

submitted for the student; if (b) Element E0940 on any 400 Record submitted for the student contains anything but 0000; if (c) any 505 Record was submitted for the student; or (d) Element E1049 on any 500 Record submitted for the student contains anything but 000.
• An OSS placement is counted as a special education OSS placement in the first numerator if the student has a matching record for the same reporting period (a) on the 400 Record with Element E0041 containing anything but 00 and Element E0937 not equaling zero; or (b) on the 500 Record with Element E0041 containing anything but 00 and Element E1046 not equaling zero.
• Discretionary placements to OSS are defined using the PEIMS 425 Record – Disciplinary Action Codes and Disciplinary Action Reason Codes as follows: Action Code (Element E1005) = 05 and 25 and Reason Code (Element E1006) = All Codes. Only one action per incident number is counted under this indicator.
Discipline Data Validation Indicator #5: Unauthorized DAEP Placement-Students under Age 6
This indicator identifies districts that reported a DAEP placement of one or more students under age 6 for a disciplinary reason other than expelling a student to a DAEP for bringing a firearm to school.

Notes • Charters are included in this indicator. • Reason Code 11 (Used, exhibited, or possessed a firearm—TEC §§37.007(a)(1)(A) and 37.007(e) and/or
brought a firearm to school – TEC §37.007(e)) is not considered in this indicator. • A district will trigger this indicator if it reports any of the following Action Codes for a student under age six
for any Reason Code other than Reason Code 11. For example, a district that reports placing a five-year old student in an on-campus or off-campus DAEP as a result of a conference, rather than a formal hearing as required for expulsion (Action Code 07) for violating the local code of conduct (Reason Code 21) will trigger the indicator for the unauthorized DAEP placement.

This indicator identifies districts that have one or more campuses with no mandatory expellable incidents reported for three consecutive years.
Minimum Size Requirements • Only campuses with enrollment equal or greater than 30 students in all three years (2011-2012, 2012-2013
and 2013-2014 school years) are included.
Notes • Charters are not included in this indicator. • Campuses where the highest grade level reported in PEIMS for attendance, extended year, or leavers is Early
Education (EE), Pre-Kindergarten (PK), or Kindergarten (KG) are not included in this indicator. • Only regular instructional campuses are included. • For all of the Reason Codes listed below (except Reason Code 29), those reported with Behavior Location
