exact replica of the Santa Maria .
Alberta’s mammal is the Rocky Mountain

The Highvale mine is the largest coal
mine in Canada.
Mount Columbia is 12,294 feet tall .
A tree in Jasper NationalPark is over 700 years old.
Alberta’s provincial bird is the great horned
owl.
Alberta is one of Canada’s biggest oil suppliers. Oil was first struck in Turner Valley in 1914.
Millions of bison once roamed Alberta.
• But now they are mainly found in
Super markets, but they can still be
found in Wood Buffalo National park.
