Ken Pearce, of Greer Family Mortuary, recently completed another step (or many thousand) on his mission to complete a marathon on every continent on earth. He’s already done Antarctica and four other continents, after having

just completed a race in Europe. Here he and his wife, Jaddy, stop with copies of the Alameda Sun, after the Berlin Marathon, in front of the Mauermuseum — the museum dedicated to the Berlin Wall featuring the famous Checkpoint Charlie. Five continents down, two to go. By the way, Pearce has already completed mara-thons in all 50 states. “The Sun Shines Everywhere” attempts to show the Alameda Sun in every state of the Union and every country in the world.
